Ashbury House offers warm and friendly hospitality for everyone who stays with us.

Breakfast is served in the dining room, using English fine bone china and silver. A full breakfast includes such items as fresh fruit, juice, granola, eggs, pancakes, crepes and Mennonite sausage. Special dietary needs are met vegetarians and vegans. Freshly brewed coffee from ground beans and Ceylon tea from loose leaves are standard.

Pop, bottled water, herbal teas and hot chocolate are available.  At the recommendation of a guest, Ashbury House was featured cooking a gourmet breakfast, live on TV.  Guests staying in the furnished family apartment can have breakfast at the B&B.

Ashbury House is located within walking distance of downtown Ottawa and many tourist attractions including the Canadian Parliament Buildings, Art Gallery, War Museum, Canadian Mint, Byward Market and Ottawa's famous Rideau Canal which becomes the world's longest skating rink in winter. The Museum of Civilization, a favourite for many, is located across the river directly behind the Parliament Buildings. Some people like to use the tour buses to take scenic routes and see other attractions in Ottawa. Bicycles are available nearby for rental.

Ashbury House B&B is a more than 100 year old Queen Anne style house located on Ottawa's prestigious "Glebe" neighbourhood. The furniture in the living and dining room includes a mahogany armoire, a mahogany china cabinet, a rare butternut buffet and an ebony table - all from the Dutch and British colonial era in south-east Asia. The kitchen furnishings include a fireplace, a sideboard that belonged to the late Madame Sauvé (former Governor General of Canada) and a stove with a griddle on which you can cook breakfast for 8 persons at a time. Much of the furniture is more than 100 years old. The furnishings include an array of Persian carpets, paintings, silk cushions and an eclectic collection of brass, fine porcelain china, old pottery and unique wood carvings.
